Well this is our first week joining in with The Week That Was: Captured over with Hannah over at Make, Do and Push! She’s also one of this sites contributing authors and I knew as soon as the cat (well baby) was out of the bag this week that I wanted to join in to show my journey into motherhood second time around. Also there is just so much going on around the house and with work that it seems apt to start a regular update with all our fabulous team too!
So this week has been really exciting! It was mine and Gav’s 5th Wedding anniversary and also we got to announce the healthy bump photo of baby number 2.
So, kind of following Hannah’s template as my prompt, here is my week!
We made over 2 rooms a little on wednesday with the help of Argos. I can honestly say there will be much more on the lead up from creating space for 3 to space for 4!
On thursday I avoided the nerves of scan day approaching by going up to London with Hannah, Busby and Fizz to the Stokke Steps launch. I love love products that have longevity and can see this awesome product coming to our living too. I have so much saving up to do!
I got to catch up a little with Bex from Mummy Adventure, AJ from Buggy Junction and Petit Mew from Petit Mom as well as grabbing a quick hug with Clara from My Two Mums.
Friday was our 5th wedding anniversary. We went for a breakfast in the Laines, bought some new music as well as maternity clothes (my jeans are getting a little uncomfy now.
Friday also saw us see baby No2 for the first time. He/She didn’t want to move for the camera but all the signs are good. We were much more nervous about this baby being ok. Lot’s of things meant that when we decided to try or this baby that we wouldn’t actually have a second baby. My body had felt a stranger to me in terms of it functioning properly , going for scans, cysts being there then not, hormone levels being fine and no periods. Anyway need less to say we are now feeling good after seeing bump is all fine.
Saturday I slept a lot! A new sofa arrived (second hand bargain from a friend of my sister) and I actually managed to stay awake passed 8pm!
See you next week!
