My Style: Jenny Mortimer

Every Monday we feature our My Style section. It’s a mix of guest styles and style boards. This week it’s Jenny from Kyna Boutique.

20140202-210002.jpgCan you describe your current style and what inspires it?

My current style when I’m in mummy mode is Skinny jeans, converse and a fitted top or tee.  I love colour! especially orange so my tops are usually bright. I also seem to be going through a denim dress stage, I found one in a charity shop that i just fell in love with and its gone from there, I now own a few – perfect to layer with tights and a long sleeved top.

What’s the biggest fashion/beauty mistake you’ve ever made?

Mistake? nothing is ever a mistake just part of the learning curve to find “myself”. I did go through a blusher and lip liner stage in my teens though, I though I looked ace, looking back I realise this may not have been the case!

If you could only use 1 beauty product for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

Mascara –  I can’t live without mascara. It instantly makes me look alive and opens up my eyes.  I have very long eye lashes but am naturally very fair so my eyelashes are blonde.

How has your style changed over the years?

My style has changed loads, always heels, always jeans but its kind of changed with my age. You will no longer catch me in a mini skirt!

I do admit I have expensive taste so tend to go with classics that last.Do you have a fashion idol? Who & why?I am a huge Victoria Beckham fan – maybe because Ive grown up with her, but we have similar tastes and i admire her confidence to give it a go.

Lastly what’s been your favourite style ever?

My fave style is vintage, although I don’t really pull it off. I feel more confident in clean lines and sleek shapes.
