Meme: Why Do I Write?

I was tagged by Claire at Straightforward coaching in a Meme/Blog Hop about why I write so here goes!

What am I working on?

At the moment I’m updating all of my websites, blogging and getting organised for my maternity leave!

How does my work differ from others of its genre?

I feel that my work comes from a better knowledge of budgets and personal experience.

Budget wise I know small business don’t have £100s to spend on their social media. I pitch to companies that understand the need for parents like Social Sparkle members to work flexibly and in return they get great content at a reasonable cost. It’s a two way exchange in that sense. Working with parents mean they get where we are at and also as successful bloggers we have access to communities that they do not.

I tend to work with a lot of parenting based companies and all of my personal experience helps. My freelance team have all blogged for quite a while and so are fairly established in parenting, lifestyle and beauty. We encourage our potential clients to read our personal blogs to get a feel to how we write and how we can transfer our experience to them.

We’ve worked with over 40 companies for minimum of a year for each as well as trained over 50 businesses to manage their online communities too. We are great believers in teaching those that have limited budget to do it for themselves.

Why do I write what I do?

I just write! It’s my creative outlet!

How does my writing process work?

I don’t have a process – it really depends what’s in my mind, inbox or floating about. Twitter conversations are often a hot link to opinion so I have written after bring inspired by others online or reading articles. Or being inspired or upset by an opinion 😉

Say who is on next week (choose 1-3 bloggers/authors) and give their bios and links to their websites.

I’ve decided to tag a few people on twitter – let’s see if they agree! Follow me on @chellemccann to see who!
